The vynsane asylum has been under a DDoS attack for a few weeks now, which was evidenced by the transient 503 errors we were seeing. Due to a spike in database connections that this caused, the web hosting provider disabled the database user, effectively disabling the entire forum.
I am working to restore full functionality at this time. I have a fully-functional version of the forum running locally, and am in the process of attempting to upgrade it to the latest version of the software before uploading it to the server again.
Sorry for the lack of communication to this point. I was just in panic mode and didn't think to put up an explanation page until now!
